Kaprica, Carlton

Kaprica Pizza

I could tell you about how I used to work for Salesforce and how if I’d had Kaprica next door I probably would have stayed for ever and ever and ever, but I won’t because that would be a total lie. Salesforce sucks.

Kaprica, which sits next to the huge Salmat/Salesforce call centre in Carlton is just lovely. Good pizzas, fair prices, a nicely limited wine menu and it’s open all the time! Breakfast, lunch and dinner Tuesday to Sunday and breakfast and lunch on Monday!

I went for lunch and shared two of the ten inch pizzas, a daily special of zucchini flowers and tallegio and the pork and fennel sausage (pictured above). The tallegio was strong, the wee zucchini stems were sweet, the sausage was wonderfully fennel-y and the pizzas were crisp and chewy and charred in that way you want. Oh, and $13.

You know that thing with Melbourne where you’re in the city and you’ve had some drinks and all you want is pizza but you don’t want to spend all your money at D.O.C or +39 and any other pizza is dreadful? There’s a third option now! It’s called Kaprica, and you should totally go (take cash).
